Planning and Development Process
First off...
You know your business and your market the best. Below are some subjects that would be discussed during the initial meeting. Thinking about them concretely before your first meeting can save you money and is beneficial to the whole process.
Define your objectives and goals?
Inform, entertain or to promote a service or product.
Who's the audience, viewer or user you want to target?
Age, gender, income, education, ethnicity, computer literacy, language, professional or blue collar, family,or friends.
Budget.
Be realistic about your goals and what you want to achieve, "skin and bones", "bells and whistles" or somewhere in between. Your budget has to factored into the design.
Think about designs.
For a web site design 'Surf' the net for sites you like and dislike to show the designer. Knowing what a client likes saves time and money.
Deadline.
Be realistic. Provide images, artwork and text ASAP. Make text brief and specific. Respond and provide feedback and approvals as quickly as possible.

An estimate can be given at or after the initial meeting. Varies per project.
Pricing, etc...

Fees can be time-based or flat-rate. Amount varies from one project to another. A contract or agreement containing a description of assignment, estimated expenses, production schedule (including milestones, dates due, and fees due) and terms. A down payment will be due at signing of contract and can be up to half the estimated cost of the project.

WEB: After the site is complete, tested and approved, you with our help if necessary, will register a domain name acquire a host server. Then it's off to the Web we go!
